Information - Truck Regulations (continued)
7. Use Designated Truck Cleanout Areas: Truckers are to clean out only in the designated area inside our plant. See the attached map or ask the weighmaster if you are unclear of the location. The area at the bottom of the hill on Marble Quarry Road is not an authorized clean-out area. Before leaving our facility, drivers must check to verify that their trucks are not spilling material.
8. Be a Courteous Driver: We ask that truckers observe all posted speed limits and DO NOT USE JAKE BRAKES in the Columbia and Sonora area.
9. Scale Procedures: Do not drive onto the scales until you have been signaled to do so by the weighmaster. To help prevent scale mechanical problems, we ask that you drive onto our scales slowly and ease on your brakes. Truckers should check that bottom valves are fully closed before being loaded.
10. Follow Weighmaster Instructions: The Blue Mountain Minerals weighmaster is responsible for monitoring and controlling truck loading and safety. We ask that you please observe requests made by our weighmaster. Truckers may address any complaints or suggestions to the weighmaster, or to the office staff.
11. No Dumping On Public Roads: Truckers coming into or leaving Blue Mountain Minerals should not discharge any material along public roads. A clean out area is provided at Blue Mountain Minerals. Discharge of material on or along public roads is subject to severe fines by CHP and Blue Mountain Minerals will ban any truckers known to do so.
12. Disciplinary Actions: Those few truckers who knowingly violate Blue Mountain Minerals rules are subject to disciplinary action. It is our hope that such action will not be necessary.
