As we approach fire season we would like to communicate our efforts to maintain a continual supply of product to our customers. Due to the Community Wildfire Safety Program, implemented by PG&E, when extreme fire danger conditions threaten a portion of the electric system serving our community, it may be necessary for them to turn off electricity for multiple days. Our Blue Mountain Minerals Columbia location will be bringing in a supplemental electrical generator for a four-month period, requiring us to add substantial infrastructure. Rather than raise prices, customers may see a small temporary surcharge on upcoming invoices.

Blue Mountain Minerals manufactures high quality Limestone, and Dolomitic Limestone for a variety of agricultural and industrial applications in Northern and Central California.

Limestone and Dolomitic Limestone are naturally-occurring agricultural enhancement and soil conditioners. These organic materials are inspected and certified by CDFA. They are used to increase calcium levels and correct soil acidity for improved soil and plant health for a greater crop yield. This natural form of calcium is also an important source for animal feeds for poultry and cattle, producing high-quality eggs, milk and meat products.

Building & Construction

Our Limestone aggregates range from large boulders to fine powder and are preferred in many building and construction applications for their consistent qualities and safe non-toxic properties. They provide value to various products from glass and concrete to stucco and infrastructure projects.

Energy & Environmental

Limestone is an excellent reagent for neutralizing the harmful effects of various acid emissions (sulfates) from biomass fuels. With wood biomass limestone can be added to fuel to mitigate clinker build up from sand that enters with fuel that can adversely impact combustion in fluidized bed. Limestone is preferred choice in remediation of acid environments and soils contaminated with various heavy metals.
